Our client, a leader in cannabis distribution throughout California, is seeking a HR Generalist/ Manager to join their rapidly growing company. The HR Manager will work cross functionally to support teams company-wide in recruiting, onboarding, payroll/benefits, coaching, employee relations, culture initiatives, compliance, etc. Our client is seeking humble, happy and eager employees who enjoy working as a team and are committed to the company culture. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support various business units across the company with HR needs including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, payroll/benefits, etc. 
  • Handles and resolves employee relations issues such as attendance, complaints and allegations; conducting investigations when necessary.
  • Assist with the selection, design and execution of company training programs
  • Design and execute culture building initiatives
  • Coordinate HR projects and deadlines for designated business units to ensure completion 
  • Track various HR items and initiatives including feedback, coaching, training, compliance items, etc. 
  • Help identify, create and implement general skill tests for job candidates to measure competencies for roles
  • Assist with writing reviews, coaching, communication pieces, etc.
  • Create reports and use data to help identify opportunities and solutions
  • Guide managers and ensure completion of necessary payroll and timekeeping activities
  • Assist with the selection, design and execution of company training programs
  • Design and execute culture building initiatives
  • Able to work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines
Job Skills & Requirements:
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in Human Resources with strong generalist knowledge
  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong administration experience
  • Experience in a fast-paced company experiencing rapid growth is preferred
  • Customer service experience/skills
  • Organized and detail oriented with a solid track record of juggling multiple competing priorities
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Google Suite Skills
  • Adept at learning/navigating new technology
  • General knowledge and/or experience using an HRIS
Compensation: $75 – $100 DOE + Benefits
