Our client, a leading Cannabis products manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Director of Operations for their production facility.
The Director of Operations will lead and manage a team of employees across manufacturing, production, warehouse, inventory management and supply chain functions, requiring both a hands on manager who is strategic in focus.
The ideal candidate would be an experienced operational leader with strong experience in the cannabis manufacturing industry, with the ability to scale production of multiple products.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director of Operations will lead and manage a team of employees across manufacturing, production, warehouse, inventory management and supply chain functions, requiring both a hands on manager who is strategic in focus.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accountability over all site related activities – EH&S, Compliance, Permits, warehousing, supply-chain management, production and quality.
- Building infrastructure and day to day operations: labor scheduling, transportation logistics, METRC is involved and they are a tactical operations piece
- Hands-on approach towards scaling and managing production operations for multiple cannabis product lines
- Lead execution and project management of strategic initiatives, such as supply continuity planning for cannabis sourcing, cost of goods reduction plans, strategic vendor relationships etc.
- Implement robust operations management processes, including GMPs, QMS, ERP system, S&OP.
- Continuously seek ways to optimize resource allocation, manage costs and reduce overheads
- Demonstrate expertise in organizational development, lead and influence a diverse team during change and growth, while maintaining cooperation, motivation and cohesiveness in a lean environment
- Implement strong leadership, communication, training, and management skills with the ability to develop cross-functional teams and partnerships
EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in management, manufacturing, or similar discipline
- Experience in Six Sigma, or LEAN manufacturing is highly desirable.
- 8+ years of operational experience within a manufacturing environment, with a minimum of three years’ supervisory experience
- Knowledge of technical, scientific and regulatory principles related to the cannabis industry
- Strong ERP systems experience required
- Proven project and budget management experience with driven financial results
- Experience with facilities oversight including physical infrastructure, maintenance, employee safety and security
Compensation: $140-$150k plus full benefits and unlimited PTO
