Our client, a California-based vertically integrated cannabis operator, is seeking a Bulk Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and selling bulk flower coming from the cultivation facility near Los Angeles.
Reporting to the Distribution Manager, this role will work closely with cultivation, packaging, and distribution teams to develop and implement a B2B strategy with bulk flower to include managing clients, closing the sale, and understanding the nuances of bulk products.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifying and contacting potential business partners, vendors, and suppliers
- Seeking and managing bulk orders and purchases
- Establishing new and existing long-term business relationships
- Manage showroom scheduling and viewings
- Coordinate daily menus of bulk flower on website
- Maintain dynamic pricing models based on quality and potency
- Negotiating contract terms and conditions with business partners and vendors
- Developing and achieving sales objectives
- Reviewing sales figures and performances
- Analyzing and developing strategies to maximize sales
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in management, supply chain, or related field required
- At least 3 years of field bulk sales experience
- A book of business in the cannabis space and/or alcohol bev industries
- Proven success closing the sale and moving product
- Experience building and managing a successful bulk sales program
- Hardworking, friendly positive attitude interacting with multiple departments and customers
- Solid relationships in California cannabis
- History of setting and driving strategic sales initiatives in a start-up, fast-paced environment
- Experience with distributor management and contract/vendor negotiations
- Strong negotiation skills while being engaging and persuasive
- Ability to work independently in a highly organized manner with limited direction
Compensation: $70,000-75,000 Depending on Experience plus bonus and benefits
