Our client, a top cannabis multi-state operator, is seeking a new Cultivation Manager for their New York state facility.  The ideal Cultivation Manager will have the management responsibility over the entire cultivation team while ensuring the healthy growth of the cannabis plants in all stages and aspects. Relocation is available for the right candidate. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all cultivation tasks and processes from propagation through harvest, dry, trim and cure.
  • Manage cultivation staff, schedules, cultivation processes, inventory, and vendor relations
  • Ensure that the cultivation center adheres to all state regulatory compliance standards and maintains proper documentation
  • Responsible for creating baseline nutrient mixes that will maximize plant health, and for ensuring proper application within the cultivation center
  • Maintain a clean and organized cultivation center with proper inventory of all cultivation supplies
  • Ensure optimal plant health while maximizing yields by maintaining proper pruning, plant training, and trimming processes and procedures Role Requirements
  • Extensive experience overseeing and managing a large-scale cannabis cultivation center; 3-5+ years in a cannabis cultivation management position preferred 5 plus years of experience of managing people in a fast-paced work environment
  • Gathers data and provides feedback regarding the research, development and implementation of any new processes or equipment as needed
  • Initiates and updates Cultivation training and SOPs, works closely with the Cultivation Director
  • Responsible for initiating new procedural, product or equipment initiatives.
  • Responsible for handling Employee Relations by delivering Performance Reviews and Corrective Actions as well as providing feedback and coaching frequently
  • Establishes, executes, and maintains holistic employee engagement opportunities
  • Accurately and consistently tracks plant movement via the Seed-to-Sale tracking system (Biotrack THC), while ensuring all record-keeping requirements are met
  • Establishes, executes, and maintains a thorough Cloning Schedule
  • Collaborates with other department managers and leadership to maximize efficiencies and quality.

Education and Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in horticulture, plant biology, physiology, biological sciences, or agricultural sciences
  • 1-2years in management
  • Medical Marijuana Industry experience.
  • Experience or certifications in Food Safety/GAP
  • WPS Compliance
  • BiotrackTHC experience a plus.

Compensation:  $60,000-$65,000 plus benefits
