Our Client, a Vertically Integrated Cannabis company is looking for a new Accounting Manager to support the growing business needs in Northern California.
This is a newly created position that will report directly to the Corporate Controller. The candidate will focus on accounting and reporting matters of the Parent-Co and will be involved in all aspects of corporate accounting and reporting. We are looking for an experienced professional that thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, brings leadership, and is also not afraid to roll-up the sleeves.
Job Responsibilities:
- Corporate/Parent-co financial statements
- Monthly close process
- Review of monthly reconciliations
- Inter-co reconciliations
- Assistance with the year-end external audits and interim reviews
- Review of subsidiary-level financial statements
- Create and document accounting and financial reporting processes
- Ad-hoc projects
- Complex accounting and transaction review
Required Skills and Education:
- Bachelor's degree
- Bright, quick learner, self-motivated
- 6-8 years public and private experience
- Leadership experience
- CPA a plus
- An understanding of financial reporting systems, procedures, and controls
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and prioritization capabilities
- Knowledge of IFRS
Compensation: $120,000 plus benefits
