Dear CannabizTeam Community,
After a few days of reflection, we wanted to speak on the tragedy we all witnessed concerning George Floyd and the ongoing issues of unequal justice and police brutality.
CannabizTeam and CannabizTemp stand with the black community against racist, violent, and prejudice acts everywhere. We are unequivocally anti-racist, and it frustrates us to witness hateful, vile behavior that violates our civil rights.
We have to do better. We HAVE to do better, or our future will be our past, and we’ll be fighting the same fight 10 years later. This is our opportunity to make real change happen, so let’s not let it slip by.
Millions of people across the nation are raising their voices and standing up against injustice peacefully, and they are an absolute inspiration. We’ll continue the momentum of the Black Lives Matter movement by donating to the Black Visions Collective organization, signing the appropriate petitions, continuously educating ourselves on ways to end systemic racism, and representing the less privileged in our industry to the best of our abilities. Our cannabis staffing firm always promotes equal opportunity for everyone in the cannabis job market.
We cannot let the malicious acts of hate consume us and respond with hate. We have to be better. We’re going to be better. Our justifiable anger must be channeled into peaceful, effective action so that we can make real progress. Let’s listen, unite, and take action. We have work to do.
