How We’ll Help Our Cannabis Community

Our cannabis staffing agency values unique talent with unconventional stories who demonstrate resilience and determination despite society’s challenges. Although we are a progressive industry, social equity and equality are still lacking in our community. We believe inclusion and equality should be the standard and not the goal. In the United States, over 40,000 people are serving time for non-violent cannabis offenses. To help those who have been affected by the War on Drugs, we started the Aim Higher program. Additionally, we are official partners of the Last Prisoner Project (LPP), a nonprofit organization focused on restorative justice.
By teaming up with LPP, we can help justice-involved individuals previously incarcerated due to non-violent cannabis crimes. LPP has three primary criminal justice reform initiatives: prisoner release, record clearing through clean slate initiatives, and re-entry programs. Even after a prisoner is released into society, a criminal record acts as a serious impediment to employment, financial assistance, housing, and more. CannabizTeam’s Aim Higher program will assist LPP in the re-entry process by helping justice-involved individuals find employment so they may achieve stability.

Last Prisoner Project is a prominent leader for social equity and equality. Since they are such an inspiration, we dedicate ourselves to assisting them in achieving a better world through restorative justice. The rate of unemployment for justice-involved individuals is five times greater in comparison to the general population. By having LPP as an official partner, we will do our part in lowering that unemployment rate. Our seasoned recruiters will help justice-involve people by doing the following:
